This website was inspired by great thread "New Patent Bar Online Exam - Prometric" at Intellectual Property Forums. The forum is a great resource for anyone studying for the patent bar. Being a forum it has some inherent disadvantages though: The more people participate (which is a good thing) the more irrelevant information accumulates ("are you selling your study material questions from 2003"). Wikis on the other hand, Wikipedia being the prime example, have proven to be an excellent tool of maintaining knowledge across many internet users.
Therefore I decided to publish my own study preparation in this Wiki. I hope you will find it useful. Following the Wiki philosophy you are invited to correct any mistakes you see, add your experiences studying for and taking the patent bar, and help us make this kind of an "open source" patent bar test taking tool. If you do use the tips on this website and take the Patent Bar Exam an additional 30 minutes to help improve this page with your fresh knowledge are more than welcome!
It should be noted that the exam consists of 90 questions selected from a pool of 2000. It will be very difficult to examine all 2000 on this website.
Since we are using the same software as Wikipedia you will find a lot of useful tips on how to edit pages at Wikipedia.
Here is how we have structured this Wiki
- Key Things to Know for the Patent Bar Exam, structured by MPEP Chapter
- Questions reportedly asked in the Patent Bar Exam
- Load Dump Area: If you don't feel like sorting your thoughts in the right place just dump them here - someone may put them in the right spot later
All information on patentbarquestions.com was compiled based on several individuals' reports after taking the patent bar exam. There is no guarantee whatsoever that the questions and answers in this section are accurate or correct. The information on this page is provided merely as an inspiration to conduct your own study.
